Spinal Cord Injury: rehabilitation of total and partial lesions

Introduction
In this course you will learn a new approach tot Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) motor rehabilitation. There is massive evidence that assisted robotic training on treadmills has a positive effect on the sympoms and complications of SCI, in diminishing respiratory complications, decubitus ulcers and bone stucture as well as in positive effects on trunk stability, arm-function and mobility. In this course, we will identify and apply common classifications in SCI. We will discuss assessment and treatment of SCI and will go in to robotic training as well as ‘hands on’ functional training of patients with complete and incomplete spinal cord injury.
