Fascia Movement Pelvic Region
Learning Outcomes
Course outcome
After completing this course you will be able to apply fascia thinking in your treatment or training. You can reduce or remedy pain or mobility complaints both hands-on and hands-off and work on healthy mobility. The techniques are mild and effective and therefore very suitable for during and after pregnancy. The course days are a fresh mix of theory and practice so that we stay active. The second day will mainly consist of actively working on posture, movement and training.
Introduction
The course is given by MAP movement and is a unique opportunity for every trainer, physiotherapist and osteopath! Working with people in motion means that you will deal with people who cannot move properly due to limited mobility or physical complaints. During this 2-day course we introduce fascia mobilization techniques in the Myofascial coreline and teach you how to increase mobility by moving from diaphragm and pelvic floor breathing. The following topics are covered during the course:
Knowledge of Fascia
The course begins with a discussion of the basic characteristics of fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, organs and other structures in the body. Knowledge of the functioning of the fascia is essential for working with fascia mobilization techniques.
Mobilization techniques
Various fascia mobilization techniques are discussed in the course. These techniques may include manual mobilizations of the fascia, stretching exercises and exercises aimed at improving the flexibility and function of the fascia. It can be seen that these exercises immediately create space!
MAP movement
Fascia mobilizations according to the MAP Movement principle focus on creating space for movement, especially in places where there is limited mobility.
Breathing and mobility
The course emphasizes the use of a diaphragm and pelvic floor breathing to improve mobility. Proper breathing techniques can influence movement patterns and help clients move more efficiently.
Movement goal
The main movement goal of the workshop is to improve the ability to perform a deep squat. The deep squat is a functional movement that requires flexibility and mobility in various parts of the body, including the hips, knees and ankles, pelvis and pelvic floor. This movement opens up a large number of movements in the body, giving the client the opportunity to move pain-free or allowing the athlete to perform better.
Suitable for many clients
The techniques offered in the course are suitable for a wide range of clients, including pregnant women, people with pain complaints, athletes and training clients. The techniques can also be adapted to personal wishes and needs.
Myofascial coreline
The workshop focuses on the myofascial coreline or the deep front line. This is one of several fascia lines in the body, it is important to understand how different fascia lines relate to each other and contribute to overall posture and movement.
